Barbara Erazmus Appointed Officer of the Legion of Honor
Barbara Erazmus, a research director at the CNRS, Deputy Chair of NuPECC, former deputy spokesperson of the ALICE collaboration at CERN and former Deputy Scientific Director of IN2P3/CNRS , has been awarded during a ceremony held on May 26 at the Prefecture of Nantes The award was presented to her by Michel Spiro, former President of the CERN Council, outgoing President of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), and President of the Curie and Joliot-Curie Association.

The ceremony was attended by Christelle Roy, Director of IN2P3; Pol-Bernard Gossiaux, Director of Subatech; and Christophe Lerouge, Director of IMT Atlantique. The event brought together many colleagues from Subatech and members of the scientific community.

This promotion from the rank of Knight to that of Officer recognizes Barbara Erazmus’s outstanding contributions to scientific research, her leadership within the nuclear physics community, and her unwavering commitment to international scientific cooperation. The entire Subatech laboratory extends its heartfelt congratulations to her on this prestigious and well-deserved honor.
