Subatech opens its doors to 29 high school girls as part of the Girls and Science program
The afternoon began with a series of inspiring testimonials :
- Marie Germain, deputy director of Subatech, introduced the laboratory and shared her career path
- Mariangela Settimo, a researcher at the laboratory, discussed the initiatives of the gender equality committee
- Angeliki Drongiti, a postdoctoral researcher in social sciences at IMT Atlantique, shared her experience and career path.

The high school students then explored different aspects of research through interactive workshops :
- Radioactivity, led by Nathalie Michel and Anne Piscitelli, engineers
- The XEMIS platform, presented by Nicolas Beaupère, lecturer-researcher
- The KM3NeT project, explained by Richard Dallier (lecturer-researcher), Ugo Lainé (PhD student), and Yann Roy (engineer)

To conclude the visit, several scientists shared their career paths during “science dating” sessions: Céline Bailly, Perla El Khoury, Emma Challand, and Taklit Sami. It was an afternoon full of discoveries, new connections, and inspiration, which gave the high school students a better understanding of careers in research and, we hope, sparked future scientific aspirations! A huge thank you to all the speakers for their dedication, as well as to Julie Champion and Sara Diglio, our researcher-ambassadors, for their commitment.
