2025 GDR QCD Thesis Prize

The 2025 GDR QCD Thesis Prize is awarded to Aoumeur Daddi Hammou, PhD from IMT Atlantique, for his work carried out at SUBATECH within the theory team under the supervision of Pol-Bernard Gossiaux and Thierry Gousset.

His thesis, entitled "Improved treatment of the theoretical description of quarkonia dynamics in quark-gluon plasma: from the semi-classical approximation to unified quantum master equations between the quantum Brownian regime and the quantum optical regime", co-funded by the CNRS Nuclear and Particles Division and the Pays de la Loire region, represents a major advance in our understanding of the out-of-equilibrium evolution of quarkonia in quark-gluon plasma.

Drawing on the theory of open quantum systems, Aoumeur Daddi Hammou has developed an innovative formalism that links different regimes of application of the Lindblad equation, thus opening up new perspectives for the study of the QGP–quarkonia system.

The entire SUBATECH laboratory extends its warmest congratulations to him on this prestigious award.

2025 Jury:

  • Cyrille Marquet (CPHT)
  • Matthew Nguyen (LLR)
  • Niveditha Ramasubramanian (IP2I)
